The seller says when he removed it almost 30 years ago from an Impala it was running. He even remembers that he went for a short drive through the vineyards because of this crazy combination.
Peter has his own US car shop and is still rebuilding engines. He gave me a tour in his storage - their must be a ton of other Pontiac, Olds and Chevy blocks, heads, short and longblocks and a few finished engines.
