It was running (wished I had taken video), but when I tore it down to figure out why a valve was ticking, it turned out the cam had a bad lobe (I was expecting a lifter not pumping up). So the cylinders are in pretty good shape, but it needs to be cleaned and a new camshaft installed.
Sounds like the consensus is to separate with the option to sell both as a package if someone needs the combo.
