Had the steering alignment checked on the computer alignment rack at the shop where I take my alignment work. Pretty much spot on, except a 1mm adjustment for toe on one side.
Those home alignment tools you can buy are surprisingly accurate!

And of course, on the way home I found out the fuel gauge doesn't read properly....ran out of gas. I thought the electric pump had thrown in the towel (its a Carter, I should have known it wasn't the pump).....thought there'd be some gas in it, so I threw 20 litres in it just to be sure.....started right up.
Then I filled the tank and couldn't fit more than a total of 65 litres in it....which seemed down on what I'm used to with my 77 T/A. So THAT made me think the pickup wasn't getting maybe 10 litres of fuel in the bottom of the tank (RobbMc pickup).....I'm thinking I'd have to mod something to pick up the fuel.
Then.....I read the owner's manual. Seems the 70-73 tank is smaller than I'm used to (stands to reason - the trunk is deeper than my 77's), and that 65 litres is all there is - I ran it completely dry.
Bone head play of the day......
