Yours has one good thing (?)
It has the round grommet hole.




Internally I thought the windings (more) and internals were better for torque etc.

I looked at some SM's and saw something I never realized.

This is from 1970 SM (couldn't find it in 1969 SM)




Here is one from 1967 SM: (assume same for 1969)




Now the 'strange' thing:

NO Shunt coils in the HD starters?

Perhaps stellar can explain this?
