Ordered it in early '69. 3.90, close ratio 4-speed, AM/FM radio with rear speaker, bench seat, and that's about it.
Drove 60k + street miles, then raced it in '73-'74. Best ET in '73 was 13.95, with hard rubber street tires. With stickier legal drag tires, it ran consistent mid 13's in '74. Engine was all original, except for replacement timing set, for the plastic teeth set, which stripped before 50k miles.
I assume it would have run low 13's, with the 4.33 gears. But, since it was to be my daily driver, I went with the 3.90's. Probably a real good decision. For '75, I had it rebuilt with a 350hp Lunati cheater cam, and changed to 4.56 gears. Ran high 12's, in E/S.
