In 1973 I bought a mint, stock 67 Chevelle SS 396 auto. for $800 bucks!
Had it a year and totaled it.................

Bought my 72 Sport ragtop after that.

I stupidly passed on a 69 Camaro Indy pace car convert. rep.
350 auto $2400
I also passed on a odd stripper 68 Camaro.
It had a funny hood scoop on it and a spoiler on the rear.
It had a 427 engine and a 4 speed and had SYC printed on the headrests
and some cheezy Yenko badges and 427 emblems on the front fenders and
rear taillight panel.
Price ???? $2400

I later saw the Yenko parked in a yard and was told the owner was in the service
and out of country. I was also told the car was sold to Reggie Jackson for his
collection.

Didn't have a clue about the car in pre computer age days !
To think what that car is worth today!
