Sometimes I have had to VERY carefully get the movement out and glue a small diameter wire to what's left of the needle and paint it red.
Finding another movement at this late date is gonna be a crap shoot. Not impossible, I have a couple of NOS meters in the box, no use for them, will gladly send them to you if you are brave enough.
