I had heard over the past few days that Milt was in failing health but didn't feel it was appropriate to post here at that time. Very sorry to hear of his passing. RIP Milt. He was a good friend because Eric and I had to more or less win his approval over a few year period. When he first saw the Grocery Getter at Norwalk, he was a little skeptical of the car, our team of "young unknown" Pontiac racers. After spending some time with him and being able to share our experience building and racing the Grocery Getter, he warmed up to our project. I loved his book and I feel he was always a mechanic, tuner and innovator first. All the accolades, fame and notoriety followed later. He WAS the BOBCAT in the Royal Pontiac Bobcat kits. He personally installed untold number of them himself. The Pontiac world has lost another huge ICON of the muscle car era. RIP Milt Schornack, my friend and mentor.
