Start terminal "S" should be a purple wire. "R" terminal is for "Relay" and is not a resistance wire. This is a regular wire that supplies power to ignition at full voltage only while cranking. The resistance wire comes out of the bulkhead connector and is used for normal running. If I remember correctly, the "R" terminal wire might be yellow??
