In 1987 the GTA was an option on the regular Trans Am. As such option data isn't separated between the Trans Am and GTA. There were 9,481 Trans Ams built with the GTA option. A total of 5,352 cars built with the digital dash. Hatch roof was installed on 16,311 cars so the remaining Firebirds built were hard top.
