The first time I heard and saw a car called 'Firebird'. Early teens. At the time I didn't know the platform was the same as camaro's. To me, it's looks were better than the other sporty cars.
Also, my parents had a '58 Strato Chief which was replace by a 66 (maybe 64) Laurentian. I thought they were nice cars, but not into cars until Firebirds came along.
