Thanks for the input, I had dissassembled the center console, but not removed it, it must be under the air ducts for the rear seat vents.

The stability control system is sometimes faulting, and just before it does the antilock brakes momentary apply some pressure to one or both of the rear breaks.

The yaw sensor detects skids and the stability control system applies differential breaking to try and correct it. I wish the car didn't have this system, just seems to be a PITA to me.
