I" 95 % sure the HO and SD starters were "Hi-Torque", but not sure about all the applications listed. The exploded diagram shows the copper buss bar of the Hi-Torque,
but that may change with the different Coil field #'s. Just my assumption, perhaps others can add to this.

My guess is someone changed your solenoid because that's what they had that looked similar and would bolt up correctly.

I put these up as high res files so they could be printed and still be read.

I actually think this may be a SD starter too! In the section 1 Starter Motors it lists the 1108500 part number AS CORRECT for a '74 SD. Well, I wish it were a '73, but that aint bad. Please have a look and let me know if my eyes are playing tricks. And thanks again!
