Running it hard doesn't make it get hot. But I did go through town at about 15 mph in 2nd gear & 3rd gear to get it as hot as I could & guess what. It got up to about 190* & stayed there. I'm still going install the 19" 7 blade fan when it gets here just to make sure it stays down & I'm going to put a new 165* T-stat back in it in the am to see if it will stay at the 165* or 170* on the gauge in the car so i know it's correct for sure. But yes it did make a difference by taking the 360* T-stat housing that was sticking up about 2 1/2 inches & about 1 inch about the valve cover & outlet in the rad. I don't know why it took me so long & why it just hit me today while I was out there trying to figure it out again. But it was like a light going off over my head & it was so obvious whenI saw it, it just made so much sense to me right then. But it did work & now its not boiling over. I'll let you know tomorrow if putting the 165 back in brought it back down to where it was to.
