Hasn't been mentioned yet but much lower mileage used transmissions are available for that car for $700-800. all over the country. 60-80K miles. I have several shops I use around here that will install it for about the same price. So $1500-1600 gets you back on the road without the worry of a poor rebuild. It's another option. I use
