We had our celebration and congratulations to GM for 100 years of service to the driving public.

I am in a former Truck and bus plant that was converted to Office space.

Among other things, I am looking for archive worthy items left behind by those employees who have already moved out and migrated to the Warren Tech Center.

A friend told me the other day about a closet in a conference room that had pix and trophies in it. He figured either the stuff was retrieved now or it was going to be scrapped soon.

I called my friend at GM photo archive and asked for standards for recovery.

Pictures of cars and buildings first
pictures of people last (executive portrait file takes care of that) unless there are unusual combinations of people in the picture. (COB Smith and the Guv of MI: Engler together...... Got one of those)

anyway, there is a stack of things destined for the archive or the Heritage ctr.
I had the joy of holding a Motor Trend Car of the Year trophy for 2002 SUV "Envoy" and a J.D. Powers trophy. I held them up and thanked the Acadamy and all the little people who made those Awards possible.

Regards
