From the FWIW dept, the 455 I picked up from you (that had lived in this 67 GP) looked brand new inside. I bolted on a set of lightly ported, slightly milled 6X-8 heads, put in a 230-236 hyd roller cam and random other parts from my previous 400. New oil pump, water pump, timing chain etc. It is now living in front of a TKO600 in my GTO.
It is a monster..........

1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.
