I installed a 455 Pontiac in a 1963 Chevy 1/2 ton 2wd. If you use the correct parts it's a bolt in. Removed 6 cyl. mounts. Used the U-shaped steel Pontiac upper motor mounts from a 1970's Pontiac and the Z-shaped steel piece from a mid 1970's Chevy/GMC 2wd pickup that runs from the top of the frame to the front cross member. I also used the rubber lower mount that was already on the Chevy Steel piece. It fits the Pontiac upper u-shaped mount. Everything that I used was bolted in the two vehicles so no cutting or welding is required. Bolt everything to your Pontiac engine and lower it into the frame of the truck. Mark the frame rails and the cross member where the Z-shaped pieces sit and drill new mounting holes. I used a BOP Turbo 400 and everything cleared. You will have to move/change trans cross member. Good luck. If truck has PS use the pump and brackets from your engine. Stock exhaust manifolds fit fine. I don't know about headers.
