Besides a carb rebuild, I'm putting on another fuel pump. Bosch used to build one but, based on availability, now it's either a Edelbrock or Carter. Hope it's ok to show product urls:

The issue seems to be something called high or low cam. The cam is on the pump lever arm. So, since my 389 w/2bbl carb is*a base engine: Will either of the above work?

Also, cannot locate a rebuild kit for the carb. Any ideas?

Many thanks!
"Carter Street Super Fuel Pump"

I hope that Carter pump is a lot more 'super' than the 7 or 8 of those that I had with one of them failing within a 1000' feet of the house.

The Holley mechanical pump I finally got is still going strong. Wasn't cheap though.
