The '64 -'65 Pontiac Tempest 215 six-banger is really a Chevy engine through and through. It has 'PONTIAC' cast into the side of the block, but other than that it's the same as a Chevy 230 six (same family as the low-deck 194/230/250 Chevy, the truck 292 has a taller block) except for the bore size.

The Pontiac 215 has a 3.750" bore, the 230 has a 3.875" bore, both have a 3.25" stroke crankshaft. Carb, air cleaner, cam, distributor, fuel pump, oil filter, etc. are all the same as a Chevy.

You can bet that if a '64 -'65 Chevelle six-cylinder exhaust system is available, it will fit.

It's really easy to find parts for.
