Did not realise the factory (or other builders) did this.
We did the same on our 408 jetsprint engine for sustained WOT 6.5k rpm usage.
Restricted at this crossover galley, and redrilled / clocked cam bearings.
All our oil pressure was logged at the No1 main via a tube out the front of the block, not at the rear.
