According to Ames, yes. The issue I'm having is the original master cylinder has a shallow depression where the rod sits, and a retainer that is held in with a clip. The replacement master cylinder we bought, supposedly for a 67 GTO (power and manual brakes), has a deep hole in the back of the piston, and the retainer is too big to fit.

Hopefully that makes sense, and I am attaching pictures to try to illustrate.
