The weirdest/stupidest one that ever happened to me was getting pulled over for turning on my headlights.
So I was driving to work ('70 Buick Wildcat) and its light out but early and my street is clear. As I leave my neighborhood and pull onto a more traveled road, which runs by a creek I notice it is a little foggy. I turn left and as soon as I complete the turn I hit the headlight switch (to be safe). The car coming the other way is a cop. Who pulls a U-turn and lights me up.
I ask why I was pulled over. He says: "You saw me and turned on your headlights to avoid being pulled over". It took him over 30 minutes to issue me a warning (verbal) so I was late to work.
