Here's a wheel bolt pattern list for reference:
http://www.teufert.net/wheels/bolt-pat.htm Our old Pontiacs have a 5 x 5" pattern, a '77 Chevy may or may not - some have a 5 x 4.75" pattern, heavy duty chassis cars (station wagons, cop cars) have 5 x 5".
