I saw it on Friday with my son and enjoyed it very much.
I thought the dialog was good (not weird lame contrivances, like Two Lane Blacktop or Fast & Furious), relationships seemed realistic and the cars/driving were awesome. The period correct clothing was spot on.
I also cannot look at Matt Damon and think "that's Carroll Shelby", but Bale was excellent as Ken Miles. Henry Ford II was a nice surprise, as was the guy that played Lee Iacocca. The setup in Italy was fun, too.
I'd like for my wife to see it but as she is not a car guy this will be an uphill battle.
