GM is not using the soy based insulation for their wire. It does not meet our temperature specs. The Japanese have been using it for some time. There are multiple class action lawsuits about it. Rodents will chew any wire insulation and other underhood insulation. That has been a problem for decades. Maybe park your GMC near a Japanese car and the squirrel will prefer a soy based diet.
