Yep. My 71 is original buckets with column shift, and no console. At first I wasn't sure how I would like it, but now I really like the combo (for an auto car). Gives me room to put a soft side cooler between the seats filled with cold drinks and ice packs for daily cruising. Necessity in Phoenix summers.
Manual coming soon on mine, but I will stick with no console for the aforementioned reason.
