There is something strangely compelling about the car as it sits. I think it’s that strange mix of rotten but also untouched original. If I had unlimited space and money I could see buying it and leaving it alone. Just to look at it.

Pretty unusual to see speed warning speedo on a GTO, especially a judge with a 4 speed. Wonder if the dealer ordered it by mistake?

I bought and then sold a 70 OO 4speed judge in about the same condition about 30 years ago. Untouched but totally rotten. I get about $3,000 way back then. The guy who bought it took the nose, the drivetrain, steering column (it had a wood wheel) and the tags, wing, interior etc.

Adjusted for today’s market it makes sense but it doesn’t then or now when you think what it will cost to complete a project like that.
