I just did one a year or so ago that came out real nice on my 68. What seemed to really help was i had about 30 of those clamps and bought contact cement at lowes.It is the stinking yellow stuff similar to super weatherstrip adhesive. you unscrew the lid and there is a round cotton swap on a stick. Started in the rear and moved foreward a couple inches per side , a little at a time. The key is quit when you get pissed, which you will, then come back later when you calm down. Took me 7 hours to do total, and looked nearly perfect. It is way more work than it appears. Good luck.
