Doug, glad your liking the thread. I'm enjoying this build, having to be a little more creative than just restoring. As for the frame I did sand blast it. But prior to that I scraped the old "Rusty Jones" tar treatment off it. I used an etching primer then urethane primer prior to painting. I couldn't see using a high dollar rust preventative[$$$] paint since I had already invested my time and effort to make this frame rust free. I used Rustoleom oil based black and cut it about 10% with mineral spirits. I let it sit for awhile knowing that the curing process would be slow. I don't think I'll be disappointed with it. The frame shouldn't fade to much since it wiil be hidden from the sun. The rest of the car is being painted with automotive grade paint.
