Section of the flange was rusted, so I cut it out and replaced it. What would you guys put in that lap weld between the existing cowl and the repair, (the left side of the pic)? I'm going to bend the repair into place and plug weld the new piece to the existing bracket on the left side. Butt weld it on the right side to the existing flange.
