OPH touched on this earlier in the thread. He said that some GT's didn't get the cutout in the stripe. His guess is that the different factories may have simply run out of the GT cutout stripes, so they went with regular sword stripes though the car was a legit GT. That makes good sense to me. I imagine both stripes can be considered correct.
