When I did my 68 I looked through 1968 sales brochures, magazine ads and articles. As everyone else has stated there’s no consistency. I ended up placing them the same way they were on the cover of the sales brochure. As I look at the photos I should have gone an inch lower and in the center of the arrow head. But it looked fine for 25 years.
