Default 75 Grand Prix SJ order code ?

Hi All, New to the site. I have done research on the SJ trim level and its is unclear so I have a few questions. Was there a specific order code for the SJ ? Was the 455 standard with the SJ ? I read rally gauges were standard on the SJ so should they have a Tach in stead of the clock ? Last should the SJ badge be on both the drivers fender and passenger fender on the 75 ? Thanks in advance

Welcome to the site. According to The Standard Catalog of Pontiac 1926-1995, The 455 was standard with the SJ package. There were 7146 of the SJ models produced in 75. Unfortunately, that's all I can find for you. I'm not that well versed on the 75 Grand Prix.

I would say the badges would be on both sides of the car.
(can't see it as being asymmetrical)

There used to be a website on GP's but couldn't find it.

Thank you for the replies. In the sales brochure it says the SJ came with rally gauges and then further down it says rally gauges with Tachometer. Maybe that was an added option ?? Still unclear if there was a specific order code for the SJ trim level in 1975.

Agree with Mr. Wallace. If there was an SJ badge on one side of the car, it would be the same on the other side as well. As far as a specific order code, I'm not sure. The Standard Catalog I mentioned before indicates that the SJ "package" returned for 75 and a new LJ package was introduced. How one ordered the different packages I am unaware. My dad always picked his new Pontiac from the cars on the dealership lot. Same for me and my brothers. You might want to try Pontiac Historical Services. Mr. Mattison may know the answer.
