The rear spoiler on the car is a 70-71 style spoiler & he must have seen that in pic somewhere of my car. I've run that spoiler since 1980 but the All American spoiler it is not. The All American style spoiler was a spoiler that could have been the duck tail style spoiler from a 72 or an earlier version of the Can Am rear spoiler. Either way the spoiler that on there IMO looks wrong & would be much better suited for the duck tail style spoiler only because of the arm chair style tail lamps. Mixing the horiz. with the vert. lines of the car it just doesn't work.

Starting w the one below.

Note IIRC that Barry Grant '6-Shooter' aka: Tri-Power carb/manifold/air cleaner setup retailed for over $3,000 US...

I think all this car needs is some updated headlights, and the pin stripping on the sides removed. I have the same spoiler an I am planning on installing it on my 75 Ga.

Default Can Am

That is a really nice car. I personally like the pinstripes to accent the body lines. I can't make up mind about the spoiler but am inclined to go with it since it gives a nice period correct feel to the car, even if it is not an original equipment option.

I have to believe that this has to be one of the very best editions left of this model. Well done.

That is pretty sweet. I would almost sell my GP to add that to my garage.

Would like to have it.

Question & Answer Answered On

Q: Hi, Nice looking car but the VIN doesn't correspond to being a Pontiac, let alone a Grand Am. Your last pic shows what looks to be a Ford VIN sticker w/ the same # on it... wrong vehicle maybe? So what is the VIN for the Grand Am? Thanks! rotax_max... 15-Dec-14

A: Hi I entered the wrong photo and photos cannot be changed the vin is 2437y4p217441 hope that helps

Yes, I'd have to lose the rear spoiler too, and the pin stripes that were added to the sides. The hood tach wouldn't bother me that much.
