Frame reinforcement
As I understand there was a factory reinforcement of the rear frame done on a service issue letter on the 65 - 66 GTO:s. What was this and how do I see if it's done?

There is a bolt on bracket on each side of the rear of the frame, where the control arm front bracket is. Used only on stick shift cars, as I understand it.

Ross is right. It's a bracket that attaches to the front mount of the upper control arm and to the frame.
IIRC, I've read that some auotmatics had them too. If not it wouldn't hurt any to install them on an automatic A-body. PY's 64-74 GTO/LeMans/Tempest cataog on Page 174 shows them.... Part # PRU80.
