My understanding is all of the A-body cars had undercoating inside the rear wheelwells.

Any additional undercoating besides that was optional and was likely done by the dealer.

The wheelwells were painted body color. Down the assembly line, sound deadener was applied in line with the tire tread. We have seen some cars with the entire well sprayed with the sound deadener, some cars had visible body color behind the wheels.
