Default New Grocery Getter record from Muncie

The track prep was excellent last Saturday. We had also made a clutch adjustment and tinkered with shift points. Apparently, we're going in the right direction:

7.637 sec. (previous best 7.677)
182.29 mph (previous best 180.57)

The engine continues to be in great shape. We ran it all last year w/o any repairs and did not freshen it over the winter.

We won't be at Eddyville this year, due to a schedule conflict. That's too bad.....we had a great time there last year! We'll be at Cordova (twice) and Cedar Falls. Are you coming to any of those?

What is the weight of the car and are you still running the Tiger Head on this combo? What C.I. of this motor?

We'll be at Cordova June 26-27 for Nostalgiafest and August 28-29 for the World Series.

The engine is 540 cubes and has the Tiger heads. The gasket seal is awesome and they make about 150 hp more than the old e-heads. Right now, we're making more (reliable) power than we can use. All of the next gains are in the clutch & chassis.

We won't be East with the GG this year. Not sure about Arnie.........

Congrats! I was there and got some good shots of the Grocery Getter and the Tameless Tiger. I'm also a friend of Frank S. I thought this pic was pretty cool.

Default Another Pontiac

Welter,
Why don't you bring that Bird to Milan for their Q-16 race this Sunday. It's basically a 6 - 7.90 sec. field.............13 dragsters and 3 door car made up the field last time.......7.80 something was the bump (100% pay back). I'm busting my butt trying to get ready.
