69-72 GP New products from PY
This is for all you 69-72 GP'ers out there... as you know, PY has come out with the "FIRST EVER" 69-77 GP catalog and it's becoming a hit. So far we have the following available & instock:
69-72 Side hood bumper p/n R3278P. These are very unique to the GP's and are either missing or worn. The link is http://pysales.com/images/r3278p.jpg 70-72 Door panel water shields p/n W53540. Originally they were paper, but we feel for a better barrier, mylar is the way to go... The link is http://pysales.com/images/w53540.jpg 69-77 GP door panel light lens p/n W45730. This is for the GP SJ's or any that has the lights mounted in the door. The link for that is http://pysales.com/images/w45730.jpg 71-72 GP courtesy light lens p/n PYI93. These lenses are identical to the originals. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/PYI93.jpg 69-72 GP Fuel gas door p/n B29300. This is a great reproduction WITH the GP pull tab. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/B29300.jpg 69 Console glovebox lid p/n W16000. This is an excellent replacement for your cracked lid. The grain matches perfectly and the fit is great. There are installation instructions included. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/w16000.jpg 70-72 Console glovebox lid p/n W16001. This is an excellent replacement for your cracked lid. The grain matches perfectly and the fit is great. There are installation instructions included. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/w16001.jpg 69-70 GP nose filler p/n B5010. This gets installed ontop of the front bumper which fills the top side of the bumper when the hood is open. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/B5010.jpg 69-72 GP Battery cable hold down p/n M48170. This is a clamp that is attached to the frame which supports the (+) cable away from the exhaust manifold. The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/M48170.jpg 69 GP lower fender support brackets p/n B27010. Although these are for the 69 GP, you can also use them for the 70-72's. These are always rotted because the design holds the dirt. They are located at the front lower end of the fender and mount to the radiator support. the link for this is http://pysales.com/images/B27010.jpg 69-72 GP lower front fender close outs p/n B27000. These are a must-get item... Take a look at the area right behind the front wheel. There is a large space before the front cowl support which collects dirt & grime from the wheels. This piece blocks the road grime. I bet everyone of these are broken or missing... The link for this is http://pysales.com/images/B27000.jpg If anyone has a question about these, please feel free to give me a call at PY... I'm at 267-638-3500 ext 105. Thanks... GP Mike p.s. 69-70 GP decklids are available too p/n RPT44... What we've heard so far is that they are excellent... nothing to do except bolt them on & paint! http://pysales.com/images/rpt44.jpg |

That is all good news. Any idea if the "Holy Grail" front air deflector will be produced?

The folks who did the 69-70 license plate pocket is working on the 71-72 pocket. They might do the air dam, but it's gonna be really expensive to make & to buy.
One thing I forgot to mention is that the 69-70 molded hood pad is completed. PY is taking requests for these. We should have them instock sometime around June. No picture as of yet. Once I get them in, I can shoot it. |

Not sure why you haven't received one yet. They've been out for 6 months... mid-December... Give me a call at PY on Wednesday 267-638-3500 ext 105 and I'll set you up on the list. These go out every 4-5 weeks. We're sending them out in bulk mail, and need 118 catalogs before the post office will allow us to ship them out. If anyone out there is in need of a 69-77 GP catalog, please request them ASAP. Thanks... Mike

Here's the scoop on the 71-72 pocket... I spoke to the guys that made the 69-70 pocket and they said they were selling slowly. They have the 71-72 pocket digitally scanned, but will not make the pocket until the 69-70 sells better. They put out a lot of money just to make the mold for the 69-70 and want to "break even" before investing in the 71-72.

There you guys... buy more '69 & '70 pockets!!! Us '71 & '72 owners are patiently waiting! These are one of the nicest quality reproduction parts I've seen for the GP. If you need a new pocket for your '69 or '70 GP, these are well worth the price and you'll be happy with the fit and quality of the part.

72 rear patch panels would be nice

The chrome fender "louver" panel at the bottom of the front fenders on a 70 would be nice if they were avaiable, as every used one is in poor condition and nos ones are made from unobtainium!
I'm sure they would sell like hotcakes!
