Default Hood/Hinge Install ?

Hey Gang,
After 6 months of PITA projects I'm ready to re-install the hood and hinges on my 69. Hinges were rebuilt by SMS http://www.sms-auto.com/ and my question is what's the best starting point for mounting to the fender ? Higher in front/back ? Resting on the bolts ? I did multiple searches on this site and checked the Service Manual, No Dice.
Thanks
Berrygoat

For starting fresh I start with middle way of the holes with the hinge on the fender. With hood on hinges I start all the way forward and work it back to fit. Same with trunk lid.
Several reasons for both methods, but it works for me.
