69 GTO side rear view mirror repair
Hello,
I have a 69 GTO with driver and passenger mirrors. They are very loose, and will not stay in position. I put them on the car 11 years ago. They still look good. I have tried a 2- part epoxy , but that eventually failed. Is there a solution using metal? thanks Last edited by joe69judge; 11-21-2009 at 10:56 AM. Reason: Fix the first sentence |

I had the same problem a few years back on my 68, everytime the door closed the mirror moved. I removed the mirror, cleaned out the ball and socket with brake cleaner and put a couple drops of locite down the edges. worked well for the one summer I drove the car after that.
