Default Vintage 8mm home movie of mid-sixties road trip.

Though just over six minutes long, lots of nostalgic footage. A number of classic Pontiacs including a '62 Catalina used as a fire chief's emergency vehicle, speeding by with it's light flashing.

I question that the road portion of the film is not earlier than 1968. I did not see a single vehicle newer than 1966.
The last segment showing an indoor family get together does have a Dec 1968 calendar on the wall.

I watched the whole video and enjoyed it. I have about two shoe boxes full of old 8mm and Super 8mm films that date to the mid 60s. I also have two movie projectors but no bulbs. A replacement bulb is over $100 and it is only rated for 15 hours.

I had the same situation with the bad bulb, so I went to the local flea market and picked up a cheap working super 8 projector, and was then able to capture them digitally.

Lol at the oil stains down the center of the roadways. Looks like a 67 or 68 Impala coming down the bridge at 4:08

I didn't see anything newer than a '66, and only 4 or 5 total. Did see the '65 GTO or LeMans convertible in front of the tan '64 Catalina in a couple of brief shots. Very cool. I remember being a kid then and everybody smoked at the table, in the car, etc.

I just ordered a Wolverine F2D movie maker. I can't wait to see some of the old movies, if they have survived! I have one titled "Colts" and one titled "All Star Game". Both are from the mid 60s.
Along with those I have several untitled reels.
