Default 78 GP SJ on ebay....

Pretty darn nice black on black car, but one thing puzzles me....the black carpet (front and rear) has turned a reddish tint. This has been a garaged car so it hasn't had oodles of sun. Do black carpets do that? My green carpets which did see lots of sun in the 80s and 90s haven't changed color, just a little sun-bleached. I'm sort of thinking it's a flood car!

Maybe its a replacement carpet. The tan ACC carpet in my car turned a greenish color, while the carpet I put in the package tray bleached white and crumbled.

starting in the early 70's, i think 72, some cars with black interior got red carpet. i don't know if it lasted that long or not. i've seen a 72 Gp black, black top, black interior, with red carpet. the red carpet was discussed somewhere on the forum. probably in the Gp section.
