Brewster - If you have a part number one thing I've used is to put a search for the part number on Ebay (search title AND description). It can e-mail you every day with items that match your search. I've had some awesome finds just by doing that. Sometimes have to wait a bit. Or a "Want it Now" can work sometimes, too. I got a 0G7 dated 1112073 distributor for $150 with a "Want it Now" add on Ebay after waiting for three months. They typically fetch $750+. Guy said he had a flunky look through a pile of 1000 distributors and found one for me. He obviously didn't know what he had. Just a couple of approaches I've found useful.

Hey Chad, good idea!!!!!!!! Wish they had software that searched the complete web.
Those reproductions don't do it for me but thanks for the thought, 68bird400ho. |

The ones I've fooled with don't allow the hood to sit down all the way at the back in the corners.
Don't know if that has been revised yet? |

I bought one and wont use it since it has a different appearance then the originals in texture, color, shape....... they are some what similar but it just doesnt work for an all original restored car with GM parts. Its the most visible seal that is seen at a show due to the hoods are always open.

i wish you luck on this one. before the repops came out, i searched high and low for good used or nos. had a buddy at a gm dealership do a national dealer search by part number and i even resorted to having him provide contact info for some of the bigger east coast gm dealers hoping for the dusty one on a shelf and out of the system.

Thanks for the part number but I doubt its going to help on this one. Looks like the only way Im getting one is off another car.
I'll be walking around all the car show this year with some green backs and panel tool. Brew |
