Default GRAND AM WEATHERSTRIPPING

I am looking for opinions on weatherstripping for my Grand Am. My seals are in good shape, but might decide to buy new ones. The three companies I see are Metro, Steele, and Soffseal. Anyone have experience with these brands and the quality? Thanks.

Soffseal was what I was told from a guy who's attention to detail is insane.

I have never had any luck with the repros. For a car of your caliber, buy OEM NOS GM, which will be costly, but you can't beat the skin coated latex for compressibility, and fit.

Thanks for the suggestions. Big difference between NOS and repro.

I thought I would post my opinion on the weatherstripping. I looked at every post I could find on all the sites regarding which company to use, and everyone seems to like each company, and dislike each company the same. So to make it easy, I ordered the same weatherstripping we recently used on my fathers '65 GTO restoration which is Soffseal. I am impressed with the fit of these. We recently drove the car 1000 miles to and from Reno and the car is sealed well with no wind noise. The doors and windows close perfectly. Hopefully I will have the same success.

FWIW, I have the Metro product and will be replacing them. At first they seemed fine, but eventually I ended up with leaking problems across the top and a too-tight fit along the A pillar. So tight that I have to open the door to get the window to go all the way up. I heard that Steele Rubber were very good, but am glad to hear the Softseal works well.
