Hello Jack.

I've been meaning to update, just been really, really busy lately.
Just a handful of small details to wrap up on the car,and then I think we're going to call it done.

Jack, I read your PM, and unfortunately I do not have any more/better pics of the firewall markings, either new or original.
I pretty much just put them on the same way I have done on the last few cars we've done, nothing scientific, just the paint code, and the interior trim code.
Just get yourself some grease pencils, and scribble some numbers on there, remember it was just a Pontiac employee doing it 30 some years ago, they didn't take their time, or worry about being nice or straight, just legible!!!!

Talking

Founda 23227 under the original firewall paint and over the firewall paint was the 239 and 13 in same locations you show. Look about what you have. I did take some pictures.

Some one painted the car black between my original ownership and when I got it back again. Than included under the hood.

Lots of work to do. Now IF I could get the 38 almost 39 year old son to move closer we might get it done quicker. But then he would have to put off his '69 Cat and '68 Ford PU w/410 Merc. Oh, yeah, and stay home more than 2 weeks at a time. LOL Like that will happen.

Now I really am JEALOUS. Looks great.

I realized the other day that they came with 14 X 5 or 14 X 5.5 inch wheels and not 14 X 6 unless the larger tires were ordered. Sure hope I can find some. I do have some F78X14 tires. (3) but need more. Black wall preferably or will paint them black if ww.

VERY nice, Tom.

Impeccable craftmanship and attention to detail, as always. Congrats on another Poncho well done!

wideglide, Welcome but tempest went away in '70. For '71 it was the T-37 and in '72 that went away and it was the LeMans.

Cool

Thanks for the compliments!

Decklid emblems will happen(anyone have an NOS P_O_N_T_I_A_C emblem?)
T-37 emblem will be on in a day or so.

Still have a few minor things to do before it's wrapped up, and then Dad says it may be for sale? :-(

Wink Kinda funny.........

Just for the heck of it, I went over to NADA and punched in the info for a 1971 T-37 with 400 and 4spd.
It gave a high value of $11,745, LOL!!!!! Boy, aren't they generous.

I think it's going to take a touch more than that to make it leave Dad's possesion.
