Heater Hose recommendation.
My son and I took the car for a Sunday cruise yesterday. I was about 2 miles from the house, and started smelling coolant/noticed the heat gauge rising fast. Pulled into a parking lot, and my son spotted a hole in the heater hose that runs from the head - right next to the distributor.
I replaced it with some Gates 5/8" rubber fuel line. Do I need to get a fancy pre-molded version, or will this work? What sort of pre-molded do you recommend? It's a 1965 LeMans.

Ames sells a molded hose for this. I have always just used an unmolded 5/8 that NAPA sells with no issues.

Thanks. If you look close at that picture, you can see where it burst behind the sharp bend. It seems like a straight hose could work better - just wanted to see if there is something I wasn't considering.
