Thanks for posting. Was there a date on the box anywhere?

I love seeing how the vacuum hoses are connected. Just like I said and just like many didn't agree.

Last time I saw one of those in the box at Jeffs parts attic years ago. With that green thermo I still remember. Thanks for sharing Scott!

I guess the lid is a separate 'Part" ? But - The cleaner element is included?

I don't know about that particular air cleaner but in general it was the opposite, you had to buy the whole assembly and couldn't just buy the lid.

There was a lid in the box when I got it but the box had been opened and the lid was obviously used.

No studs? Can't see them if they're there...

No studs Mike. My 72 HO GTO doesn't have them either.

OK - I get it now. I have not got into my Formula project yet to know too much detail, other than the basic PHS sheets - But the air cleaner definitely has the studs, and a black lid. Still has the original GM service sticker on it and a dirty filter still in it! LOL.

NOS 71-72 RFam Air Air cleaner
I remember buying a complete NOS set up around 1982. Thought it would be cool to install on my original owner '71 with a 400/4 speed. Of course, it did not fit, so I sold it for......................$250. Yikes!!! I was smart enough to hang on to the car for 46 years(so far) though. Wouldn't it be wild if this unit for sale was the same one I "gave away"? Stranger things have happened I guess.
