Spring seats will probably be different, and maybe shock mounts, but it will physically bolt in.

I believe this is correct. 1967-1968 spring seats are one way, 1969-1970 are another. It's not an insurmountable problem if my hazy memory is correct.

Don't forget about the control arms. The 69-70 fullsize rears use lower control
arms with both bushings in the arms. The 65-68 have the frame side bushing in the arm, and the rearend side bushing in the rearend housing. You'll need the '69 lower control arms for the swap. Its not a direct bolt-in, but with a few additional parts from the donor car, it can be done. -Scott

What type/model rear is correct for a 67 Catalina/Ventura?
I'd like to add a Loc-Rite to mine and maybe find a similar axle that would have the 4.75 bolt pattern. Am I just grabbing at straws? Thanks, |

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I don't know how to effectively use the search function.
Seems like I always end up down rabbit holes (Like I do on YouTube) Is my car a std ten bolt or like a Olds 12 bolt (a modified 10 bolt)?? |

"12 bolt differential in a 10 bolt case" is how I hear it described.

I guess I would need the axle (or side gear)spline count? Lockrite list two options. A 30 spline and a 28.
Thanks for the reply. Would you know if this is a "C"clip type of axle in this diff, or the bolt on style at the end of the tube? |

Bolt on style.

I think the axle is a Pontiac 8.875" or 8 3/4" axle. 12 bolt ring gear, 10 bolt rear cover. Same ring gear diameter as a Chevy 12 bolt, but not the same ring gear as a Chevy 12 bolt. Bolt in axle retainers as already stated.
