1970 VOE GTO on BAT
I use to store my cars where this guy had his collection of GTOs that are being sold on BAT. Quite the collection.

Crazy Pontiac pricing lately on BAT, I’m starting to wonder. Don’t get me wrong, this is a very nice GTO ragtop in desirable colors with a four speed and a rare option but it is a 350 horse car that is well restored but not a top flight car. The whole interior is repop city, stance is ridiculous, incorrect wheels, radial TA’s, missing and incorrect knobs, interior trim paint peeling etc. Also, especially given its rust belt providence some detail photos of the rear wheel openings lips would be informative. The lower lip of the driver door and trunklid show signs of trouble.
Again, I’m not attacking the car, just amazed at the price ($120k) for a nice but non concours 350 horse gto ragtop.

Is simple seeing a rebound of demand, security, and loose change from hitting bottom last year. Hundred large won't even buy a house any more. Bright resale red 'vert with wing doesn't hurt.

Hey Guys.Have not posted on here for quite some time..Still alive and kick'n!. yeep! That's one of the cars I restored back in 2012 I think.. I talked to Ron..( the guy that bought it)..about a week ago.. first time I have seen the car since I sold it.. It WAS a # 1 "correct" car then.. He did add some of his preferences since then!..Anyway selling for abit more than I sold it to him for.. that's great!..Nice to see it again though!.. I wish I could have known the future when I sold the 1972 lemans GT 455 H/O ram air ragtop 1 of 5 cars a couple of years ago.. market was somewhat down... oh well!... Hope you all are doing great.. I'm semi retired!!?? LOL...

Is the reason at major auctions the skyboxes have free booze.

So tell me guys. Is this just absolutely crazy or is that high price justified????
Without the VOE, I saw it as maybe a $70K car. Does factory exhaust cut-outs really add over $100K to the car's value?

Hi Forrest and wow! I met the owner at MCACN right down from the Humbler VOE GTO where I was working. He was way cool and has a lot of other very special cars for sure. The mufflers still sound great!

Just like any auction, sometimes you get two or three bidders who absolutely must have something and bid it way over what it's actually worth. Another thing - wait until the transaction is completed and the car changes hands, sometimes the winning bidder can't or won't pay the price.

Reminds me of the housing crisis: could not afford my house if had to buy now. & glad my garage is full.
